March 30, 1941 – July 28, 2018
Ron, 77, went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 27, 2018. Ron was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to William Harmon Caveny & Emma Sue (Mowery) Caveny on March 30, 1941. Ron graduated from Rush Springs High School in 1959. In 1964 Ron relocated to Oklahoma City and continued his education part-time at Oklahoma State University Technical Institute 1969 where he earned an Associate’s Degree. Later on he attended OCU and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. In 1964 Ron married the love of his life, Mary Lynn Grady, and they shared over 54 years of marriage. He worked hard to provide for his wife and for over 21 years was an Information Technology Systems Programmer at Dayton Tire. After his retirement from Dayton he went to work as an I.T. Systems Engineer for Oklahoma City Public Schools. After 11 years with OKC Public schools he decided to retire from the workforce and focus on spending time with his loved ones. Two of Ron’s favorite things to do when he was able were hunting and fishing with his brother Bill. He and Bill made many fond memories together during their outdoor retreats and they were thankful to have been very close. He was also very tech savvy because of his I.T. background and was always the go-to- guy in the family if someone had computer questions. Aside from those earthly things, Ron was a faithful follower of Christ. Ron and his wife Mary have been long time members at South Park Baptist Church. Ron was a deacon at the church for many years and enjoyed serving the Lord. Ron will be missed deeply by his family and friends but he will never be forgotten.
